Transparent. Hourly Rates. Pay Only For The Time You Use.
House Call rates are as follows: our Urgent Care rate is $395 for a one-hour appointment within 20 minutes of Asheville city limits. Most visits can be completed within an hour. If you require additional time, additional payment can be arranged. In this case, we charge an hourly rate of $300/hour, billed in half-hour increments. This may include time spent interacting with pharmacies, other physicians, and medical facilities as indicated. If you live outside of Asheville, extra time is added for travel. As a result, you may be charged an additional travel fee, depending on distance. If so, this will be discussed during your initial phone contact.
If your treatment requires use of higher-cost disposable equipment or tests, you may be charged an at-cost replacement fee for these items. Routine disposable equipment and supplies are provided at no cost. We will provide an estimate of all costs during our initial phone conversation. Your credit card will not be charged until the visit is completed.
If we determine that it is medically appropriate, phone and videoconferencing consults are available for prescription refills or other routine needs. These are billed in 15-minute increments at a $300/hour rate, for a typical rate of $75 for a 15-minute call.
There are many reasons to call for concierge in-home medical care. Most importantly, it's convenient, and we come to you. But secondly, our board-certified physicians are trained for just this. We look forward to helping you.
Payment and Cancellation Policies
Unlike many concierge practices, Concierge Medicine and Psychiatry does not charge retainer fees. Instead, we operate on a fee-for-service model. Payment is per appointment time and type and is due at time of service. In order to maintain client privacy, we do not directly bill insurance companies. Your doctor will not discuss your care with insurance providers and will not provide insurance companies, or any third-party payers, access to your diagnosis or treatment records. We also do not participate in utilization review for reimbursement decisions about claims. However, many clients with private insurance do choose to have their insurance partially reimburse them for our services. In the event that you request this, we will provide you with a billing invoice that may be submitted to your insurance. This invoice allows your insurance company to reimburse you for our services at your policy’s out of network rate. The amount you are reimbursed depends on your particular insurance plan. We can not currently provide this service for Medicare or Medicaid clients. Patients who choose to use this option should be aware that insurance companies require the disclosure of diagnostic and procedure codes in order to reimburse you.
Payment is accepted by cash, check, or credit card and is due at time of service.
Appointments may be rescheduled within the same week, even on short notice, without a fee. No shows will be charged the full visit fee. Exceptions are made for extenuating circumstances, and our staff will do our best to accommodate your schedule.

Ketamine is currently offered through our house call practice as well as our office-based Ketamine Clinic.
If you choose to visit our clinic at 12 Medical Park Drive, initial consultation visits are $450 for a 90-minute session which includes a full intake and medical clearance. Subsequent dosing visits are billed at $525 and scheduled as 90-minute visits to enable adequate recovery time.
For house-call Ketamine treatment, initial consultation visits are $600 for 90 minutes and include a full medical assessment. Your initial dose will take place with physician monitoring at your second visit and, depending on the route of administration, this visit averages approximately two hours, billed at $900. Subsequent visits are 90 minutes, billed at $750.
Once you are on a stable regimen, dose visits take place anywhere from every two weeks to every three months, depending on how long you maintain a response. Given this, the cost of treatment over time varies. Ketamine treatment is not covered by insurance and is a private pay service.
